How to Easily Erase Liquid Chalk Markers from Chalkboards

Chalkboard surfaces can be used for a multitude of things, which includes writing notes or decorating your wall. Chalk markers are extremely popular now, and they're being used more than ever in artworks that involve chalkboard surfaces. Kassa chalk markers work well with these surfaces, they are very vibrant, juicy, and unlike regular chalk, chalk markers last longer. However, that also makes chalk markers more difficult to remove. Many people may enjoy how they don't smudge or rub off easily, particularly when being used as artwork, but at some point you'll need to learn how to effectively erase or remove chalk marker lines from your frames, walls, or doors.

Here are 4 ways to easily erase chalk marker marks from chalkboard surfaces!

  1. Magic Eraser. This product is a white sponge that's perfect for removing marks and smudges from walls. It's inexpensive and extremely easy to use. To use it, just dampen the sponge slightly with water, then use it like you would use a regular sponge and simply wipe down your surface. This method is perfect for erasing chalk marker marks from any surface that have been painted with chalkboard ink : doors, walls, frames, etc. If you're looking to save some money, off brand magic erasers work just as well! They're also reusable!
  1. Vinegar. After cleaning with a magic eraser and water, there could still be a considerate amount of residue left over from the chalk markers. To get rid of the residue, just replace the water with a small amount of vinegar and it will make the whole cleaning process a lot quicker and easier. The chalkboard surface will be disinfected as well! Just use regular white vinegar for this option.
  1. Windex. Windex is a great replacement for magic erasers when you have no more left. All you need to do is spray the windex over the part of chalkboard you drew over and wipe it off. After you've done that, you'll probably find that you still have some ghost images left behind. To get rid of those images, you can prime the chalkboard surface with the wide end of a regular piece of chalk. Let the surface sit for a while, and then, spray the entire surface with windex once again. Wipe it down with Windex once more and you'll discover that this method removes every last trace of your chalkboard markers . Now you can start fresh!
  1. Chalk Marker Removers. There are also special cleansers you can buy for the sole purpose of erasing chalk markers from surfaces. Some of these removers come in a bottle with a spray nozzle so all you have to do is spray and wipe, and there are also chalk ink removers that come in a container with a sponge head that resembles a squeegee. These products are usually more costly than simply purchasing vinegar, windex, or magic erasers separately, but it's all up to you and your budget.

I just tried using vinegar to try to remove the kassa liquid chalkboard markers from a milestone chalkboard, but it was no use. The lettering remains. Any help would be greatly appreciated !
